Examples of custom software in practice

Apps and integrations we built for clients in surveying, infra, and hydrography.

GeoMeet app

GeoMeet

Geometius logo GeoMeet logo

We developed GeoMeet on behalf of Geometius. Geometius supplies measurement systems and software for infrastructure and civil engineering projects where precise positioning is essential. One of the brands they represent is Trimble. The GeoMeet software integrates seamlessly with Trimble GNSS receivers. It is designed to quickly and accurately collect geospatial data and export it easily in formats such as DXF or TXT. The app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows.

Proefsleuf app

BasePoint logo Proefsleuf logo

The Proefsleuf app was developed for BasePoint. BasePoint specializes in site surveying for construction and infrastructure projects. They came up with the innovative idea to digitally capture trial trench data directly in the field. The app enables contractors and companies that regularly dig trenches to work faster, more efficiently, and with greater precision. Thanks to digitalization, they streamline their workflow and save time and costs. The app is available for iOS and Android.

“The idea for the Proefsleuf app originated from daily practice: measuring and recording cables and pipelines often took unnecessary time. We wanted to make this process faster, simpler, and more reliable. Together with GeoTiq, we turned this idea into a user-friendly app that makes the work of groundworkers and project teams significantly easier. Thanks to the app, data is processed digitally on site and converted into clear drawings. This saves time, prevents errors, and brings more structure to the workflow.

Collaboration with GeoTiq was personal and pleasant: short communication lines, quick response, and genuine involvement.

SMRTprojects app

SMRTprojects

SMRTprojects supports organizations that develop complex products or deliver asset-heavy services. Their mission is to improve workflows through digitalization and smart automation. A key tool is the SMRTprojects Android app, which allows users to register and share data directly in the field.

When SMRTprojects approached us, they already had a well-functioning web application. The challenge was integrating it with external hardware such as RFID and QR scanners, which are critical to their daily operations. We developed a hybrid Android application that combines their existing web platform with direct communication to RFID and QR hardware. The result is a user-friendly mobile app that bridges the gap between physical tools and digital workflows.

Field app for Trimble users

Field Survey App for Trimble Users

This application was developed for professionals working with Trimble receivers and provides seamless integration between field operations and office workflows. Users can easily capture points and lines, including associated attribute data, and synchronize them directly with the office via Trimble Connect.

Thanks to smart automation, input errors are virtually eliminated. Large, intuitive buttons ensure smooth operation in all conditions. Multiple lines can be measured simultaneously, with the app automatically remembering the last used attributes per line. If incorrect values are entered, the app immediately alerts the user.

Collected attributes are automatically grouped by name and presented in collapsible sections for better readability. When exporting to SHP format, attributes are automatically translated and matched to a predefined schema, enabling office teams to process the data without additional post-editing.

BathySurvey app

BathySurvey is a great example of a custom-built software solution as an extension to Trimble Access. The app was developed by GeoTiq on behalf of Geometius.

BathySurvey is designed for using single-beam echo sounders within Trimble Access. It links measured water depths directly to map coordinates, allowing precise hydrographic measurements in the field. It also enables two-way communication with the echo sounder, so settings like sound velocity can be adjusted directly from the app. An integrated barcheck wizard helps determine the actual speed of sound in water, essential for accurate depth readings.

Grenzen-Online app Grenzen-Online app

We developed the Grenzen-Online app for Trimble Access in collaboration with AllTerra Deutschland Nord Ost. This application provides field workers with direct access to cadastral boundary and building data available under an Open Data license for various German states.

The Grenzen-Online app gives users real-time access to official boundary and building data, including coordinates and attributes based on GeoInfoDok specifications. Thanks to its simple interface and integration with Trimble Access, users can locate boundary points, verify measurements, and visualize features directly in the field. The app is ideal for tasks like building staking, pipeline routing, and landscape planning, reducing post-processing and speeding up workflows.

Manitowoc app

For Allterra Deutschland Nord Ost, on behalf of their end client Manitowoc, we developed a dedicated Trimble Access app (optimized for the Trimble SX10) that fully automates and documents crane load-test measurements. The app first calibrates the slewing-ring center and the crane’s working plane, then measures the horizontal outreach (“Ausladung”) and the offset load distance (“Schrägzug”) in real time. All measurement data are automatically averaged and saved as an ASCII log file. A smart extension that makes the proof-load testing process at Manitowoc significantly more efficient.
